LODGING
---
Our four cabins vary in size, sleeping two to five, each having its own bathroom. Comfortable western furnishings, sitting porches, stone fireplaces/wood stoves, and the warm glow from propane lamps give the cabins a romantic charm. Our main lodge, with its large dining area, sitting room, natural history library, deck, and wood-fired hot tub provide a friendly gathering place. Historic horse corrals, barn and outbuildings, add to the western ambiance.
RECREATION
---
We offer personalized horseback riding and hiking excursions with natural history lessons along the trails up to the old gold mines and ridges overlooking the Salmon River canyon; wildlife viewing and phenomenal photographic opportunities; fly casting for trout on the ranch's private pond; rafting and steelhead fishing in the nearby Salmon River; relaxing on the deck with a book from the natural history library or picnicing by the creek. Indian Creek is a perfect "base camp" for your adventures into the backcountry.

REGION/CUSTOMS
---
Nestled in the Salmon-Challis National Forest, the ranch is just a few miles from the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness Area, the largest mountain wilderness area in the lower 48 states. The Middle Fork and Main Salmon River are home to world famous whitewater, beautiful scenery, wildlife and grandeur. Trips to this area have been known to be life changing.
HISTORY/HOSTS
---
Our main lodge was built around the historic Red Onion Bar that served as a saloon for miners from the Kitty Burton and Ulysses Gold Mines in the early 1900's. The present guest ranch has been in operation since 1965. Owners, Pat and Kathy Farrell, fell in love with the Salmon River country on one of their many visits to Idaho. Purchasing Indian Creek Guest Ranch fulfilled a longtime dream of owning a backcountry ranch. Managers, Jerry and Terry Myers, are Idaho natives with lifelong experience working and guiding in the Idaho mountains and Salmon River country. Together they provide Indian Creek guests with memorable experiences in a most remarkable place.
ITINERARY
---
Unlike many larger guest ranches that follow a set riding and activities schedule, Indian Creek offers myriad outdoor adventures, with schedules tailor-made for guests.
