LODGING
Comfortable cabins for couples or singles. Campfire and picnic tables just outside the door to relive the events of the day.

RECREATION
We are a working cattle ranch. We do our work with the cattle as the need arises, not a specific activity at a specific time. Most of the week is spent scattering cattle on the range, doctoring cattle, packing in salt to pastures in the Rocky Mountains, trailing cattle to new pastures and gathering strays, in some of the most scenic mountain country in Idaho. Upon your arrival, you will be matched up with one or two horses to be ridden by you for the duration of your stay at the ranch. We maintain approximately forty horses for use in cattle operations. Use our saddle or feel free to bring your own. If you want to rope or learn how, just let us know.

FOR CHILDREN
No structured programs.

FOOD/LIQUOR
The day starts with breakfast, usually a lunch will be packed for everyone, to be eaten normally at mid-day on the ranch or in the mountains. The evening meal will put you at the table heaped with abundant food and drink. Home style cooking at the main ranch. No one leaves hungry.

BUSINESS/MEETINGS
Small groups only (8 max). Please call for details.

ITINERARY
The day begins with breakfast at the ranch house. About 8:30 AM, we saddle up and head to the mountains to begin the days work. Lunch will usually be eaten around noon, however we make no promises. The days end, around 6:00 PM, should find you tired and ready to enjoy a table full of hearty food and drink. After an evening of reliving the days adventures around the table or campfire, comfortable cabins will provide you a good nights sleep. Good talk, good friends make you a stranger no longer.

We do our work with the cattle as the need arises, not a specific activity at a specific date. Most of the week is spent scattering cattle on the range, doctoring cattle, packing salt for cattle, trailing (driving) cattle to a new pasture on the mountains, and gathering up stray cattle in some of the most scenic mountain country to be found.

Almost all of the work is performed from the backs of ranch broke Quarter Horses. You will be matched with one or two horses to be used by you for the duration of your stay at the ranches. A saddle will be provided for your usage or feel free to bring your own.

Your safety and enjoyment are uppermost in our minds. Our goal is to ensure your vacation is one that you will always treasure in your memories. Our cowboys will help you learn to rope, work cattle and ride safely. Feel free to join in the work or just go along for the ride, which is by no means a nose to tail affair. Want to experience the real working cowboy lifestyle? Come join the McGarry Ranches Family of Wranglers. Work the herd on approx. fifty five thousand acres in the Big Hole Range of the Rocky Mountains.
