LODGING
We have seven different facilities to accommodate your stay. They range from a secluded individual log cabin to more of a suite setting. The smaller facility will sleep up to four, having two bedrooms and a bathroom. While the larger facility will sleep up to ten, having four bedrooms and two bathrooms. All the other facilities are somewhere in between. Most of our facilities have a livingroom and fireplace area available. All our facilities are very comfortable and rusticly decorated with a western theme, and all are very clean. Each facility has a nice porch and beautiful view.

RECREATION
There is a full week of exciting things for you and your family to do! We have a wonderful horseback riding program. Horseback rides are offered each and every day. There are morning rides, afternoon rides, and at the end of the week all-day rides and an overnight pack trip. You'll be riding in the beautiful Tarryall Mountains at 8600 ft. Rides vary from rolling hills to mountain trails, and crossing the Tarryall River, which runs right through our Ranch. There is also riding in the arena where you can try your skills at team penning and practice the barrels for the Ranch Rodeo.
The children's programs are excellent. We in no way want to separate families but the programs are available with each one having its own counselor.
There is a mile and a half of the Tarryall River that offers great fishing, and we do have fishing equipment available for your use. We do hire a professional fishing guide that gives instruction every Monday afternoon for those who desire it.
We also have trap shooting, a hot tub and heated pool, whitewater rafting, and an activity planned every evening - from a cookout and a hayride to a candlelight dinner or square dancing.
If you have time there are many places to go sight-seeing, all within a short drive from the Ranch. Places such as the Royal Gorge, Pike's Peak, Cripple Creek, Garden of the Gods, Seven Falls, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Cowboy Hall of Fame, Olympic Training Center, the list goes on.
We also offer relaxation and quiet, where you can just sit on the porch and watch the humming birds and enjoy the beauty around you!

FOR CHILDREN
We have the "Broncobusters" (3-5 yr. olds), the "Wranglers" (6-11 yr. olds) and a teen program (12-17). We will, in most instances, be able to provide child care for children under 3 yrs. of age all day if the parents request. The 3-5 yr. olds ride every morning on their special kid's horse being lead around the Ranch by their counselor. In the afternoon there is swimming, games, and crafts. The 6-11 yr. olds are assigned their own horse for the week, and ride every morning. In the afternoon they can be part of the program activities such as hiking, swimming, some minor rock climbing, or be part of the afternoon ride with a parent. The teen activities include riding, hiking, and day trips to the swimming hole or someplace special.
Even though we have excellent children's programs each with its own counselor, the programs are optional.

FOOD/LIQUOR
We offer three meals a day, served either in the lodge, family style; or at the picnic area; or a cookout down by the pool. All of our breads, rolls, and desserts are baked-from-scratch-daily. On Tuesday you will enjoy our breakfast ride into the National Forest, where we will serve you a great meal cowboy style.
While we do not cater individually to vegetarians, there is plenty to choose from without eating the main course. Fresh fruits and snacks are always available in the main lodge along with coffee, hot chocolate, and cold water. If you have special dietary needs, for health reasons or otherwise, please let us know ahead of time so we will be able to accommodate those.
We hava a BYOB policy, so you can either bring your own alcohol or ask us to pick it up while we are in town. We do have a refrigerator available for the guest to use for that purpose. You are welcome to enjoy alcohol with your meal or at your cabin, some guest like to relax on the porch after an invigorating day in the saddle and enjoy something cool.

BUSINESS/MEETINGS
We have the capability to accommodate 30-35 guests for conferences/meetings. We have a casual room as well as the dining area available for meetings, which ever your pleasure might be.

REGION/CUSTOMS
There is an abundance of places to visit and historical sites to see. The Tarryall River Ranch got its start during the "Gold Fever" days of the 1880's along with that would be a visit to Cripple Creek, an old mining town which has been kept alive by a new way to strike it rich. Also not far away is Pike's Peak, with its elevation reaching high into the history pages of the old west. If you don't like looking up then just around the corner you can enjoy the beautiful scenic view of the Royal Gorge and get your adrenalin rush by crossing over on the world's highest suspension bridge.
Some of the guests like to come a few days early or stay a couple days longer to take in some of the sights in nearby Colorado Springs. Other places to visit a little closer to town would be the Garden of the Gods, Manitou Cliff Dwellings, Seven Falls, the Cowboy Hall of Fame, Olympic Training Center, the Air Force Base, The North Pole, Old Colorado, the Broadmoor Hotel, Cave of the Winds, Florissant Fossil Bed National Monument, and more.
The Pike National Forest is full of history and wonderful places to visit!

HISTORY/HOSTS
The Tesch Family, Kevin and Lisa, their sons Kelvin, Kurtis,
Kody, and Klayton, also Bridget wife to Kelvin, operate the Tarryall River Ranch where they love to share the lifestyle of the old western tradition with guest and friends from across the country and around the world.
The ranch was settled in the 1880's when "Gold Fever" was running rampant in the region. Numerous remnants of that period, such as abandoned cabins can still be seen. After the turn of the century, mining gave way to ranching as the economic mainstay. By 1920 the area caught the interest of a Colorado Springs family who were impressed with its sculptured mountains and pristine beauty. The ranch was purchased as a summer retreat and the main ranch house was built, now used as the lodge. In 1930 the ranch was acquired by a prominent Colorado Springs attorney who developed it into a unique guest ranch. Thus began a tradition of excellence in western hospitality.
