Eatons’ Ranch is a Wyoming dude ranch and working cattle ranch located on the magnificent, pine-covered eastern slopes of the Bighorn Mountains in northeastern Wyoming.

Just 18 miles west of Sheridan, the ranch consists of 7,000 acres of beautiful open country with rolling hills, grassy meadows and hidden valleys.

Twisting processions of cottonwood and pine trees mark the course of tumbling streams that roll out of the mountains.

Our Ranch Holidays for Families Includes a Children’s Program

We will have recreational staff on duty during scheduled riding times to offer supervision for children three years and older. Supervisors must see a parent or guardian before the child will be allowed to leave the recreation area. We also have organized activities every afternoon, Monday through Saturday, at Howard Hall.

All ranch meals are served with western cooking flair during regular hours in our centrally located dining room. Each table seats six to eight people.

Our Wyoming dude ranch offers made-to-order breakfasts - hearty ranch breakfasts are our specialty, but a selection of fruits, cereal and muffins are also available.

Our lunch menu varies from buffets to barbecue cookouts.

For dinner, we offer a choice of two entrees. We typically offer a choice between beef and chicken, fish or pasta. Saturday night at our Wyoming dude ranch is barbecue night by the creek.

We will make every effort to accommodate special dietary needs, with advance notice, at our Wyoming dude ranch.

Our Riding

Scheduled rides

Guests can ride out from our Wyoming Dude Ranch twice a day Monday through Friday, choosing among morning, afternoon and evening rides. We also have all-day rides into the Bighorn National Forest. We also offer a breakfast and dinner ride during the week. Riding is a bit more limited on weekends. Saturday there are morning and afternoon rides available. Sunday there is only a morning ride as the rest of the day is our horse holiday.

Eatons’ offers our guests the unique opportunity to ride one of our 220 horses unescorted with the permission of the Ranch. This allows guests the remarkable freedom to fully explore this beautiful 7,000 acres of country.

Booking Policy

DEPOSIT for your Ranch Vacation: A $500 deposit for each guest is required to confirm all reservations. Reservations without a deposit will be released in 72 hours.

No premium charge will be applied if we assign a cabin to you based on our vacancies.

CHECK-IN: Check-in is at 3:00 pm. Please note that if you plan to horseback ride the morning of your arrival date you will be charged half (50%) of your confirmed daily rate/person plus gratuity and tax.

CHECK-OUT: Check-out is 12:00 pm (Noon). Please note that anyone staying after the 12:00 pm check-out time, you will be charged half (50%) of your confirmed daily rate/person plus gratuity and tax.

CANCELLATIONS: Deposits remain refundable minus a $100 service charge up until 60 days prior to the arrival date. All cancellations within 59 days of the reservation are no longer refundable.

CHANGES to your Dude Ranch Vacation: Any changes made to reservation dates and/or number of guests must be made 60 days prior to the reservation. If dates and/or guests are removed from the reservation less than 60 days in advance, guests will be billed for the original dates and number of guests.

VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS and DISCOVER are accepted.

The Ranch does not guarantee babysitting services for children two years of age and younger; however we do try to have these services available as often as we can.

Individuals under six years of age are not allowed to trail ride.

Guests can fish in the pristine mountain waters of Wolf Creek, other nearby streams and rivers, or our bass pond with our on-site fishing guide or on their own. Our Wyoming dude ranch offers experts as well as novices the chance to catch rainbows, brookies, browns and large-mouth bass. You can bring your own equipment or use our gear and find flies and tackle in our Wolf Creek Fly Shop.  For guided day trips off the Ranch, we recommend Kingfishers Lodge in Ft. Smith, MT (1 1/2 hours from Wolf). For more information, please visit their website: www.bighornkingfisher.com.  We also recommend Fly Shop of the Big Horns in Sheridan, WY for guided trips.

Eatons’ Wyoming Conference Center Dates: Mid-May to June 1st, September 1st to October 1st, or as arranged.

Eatons’ Ranch provides an ideal setting for corporate retreats at our Wyoming Conference Center. From meeting time to free time, we will work with you to plan a retreat that meets your needs and budget.

A friendly, western town with the beautiful Bighorn Mountains as it’s backdrop. It is only a short 30-minute drive from our Family Dude Ranch. Historic Downtown Sheridan is home to dozen of unique shops, restaurants, galleries and cafes along with numerous watering holes.  Sheridan is home to the WYO Rodeo in Mid July.   The WYO Rodeo brings Professional Cowboys and Cowgirls from all over the world to compete in four rodeo performances.

A great place to unwind!

Located in Wolf Wyoming, Eatons Ranch is a great place to disconnect for a few days. Don't expect to take calls or receive email. It's a great ranch for horse back riding, hiking, swimming pool with hot tub and trout fishing nearby. Don't expect 5 star accommodations. The cabins are rustic, but clean. The food at the Ranch was very good and the staff was great
