Lost Valley Ranch offers children the incredible opportunity to learn the ways of the cowboy and experience life on an authentic Colorado horse and cattle ranch. We offer a variety of fun activities and outdoor adventures separated by age groups and supervised by our team of hand-selected supervisors, each Red Cross First Aid certified and well versed in the ins and outs of life on the ranch. Your kids will learn how to groom their own horses, get fitted to their own saddle, play in the barns and breath in the fresh mountain air while exploring our beautiful natural surroundings. From swimming and hiking to picnics and crafts, the memories your child will create will stay with them for years to come.

Our Riding

Guided rides

Our all-inclusive Colorado horse ranch provides guided horseback rides for a variety of skill levels. Rides are offered every morning and afternoon, rain or shine, but when and how often you ride is entirely up to you. Whether this is your first time riding a horse or you are an advanced rider, you will receive personalized attention and instruction from our qualified wranglers. We'll match you with the best horse based on your skill level and personality along with custom-fitting your saddle and mount.

Description

Our cabins feature separate living rooms with fireplaces (wood is delivered daily), and are made-up everyday by our dedicated staff. Inside your cabin you'll also discover a range of modern conveniences including king- and queen-sized beds, mini-refrigerators, Keurig coffeemakers and plenty of oversized towels. In an effort  to preserve the quiet sanctity of our Colorado cabins, we do not provide internet, TVs or telephones in our cabins.

Fishing & Wildlife

Lost Valley's streams and lakes are a prime fishing spot for rainbow and brown trout, and our Colorado ranch has everything you need to reel em' in. In addition to Goose Creek, which runs from the south to the north on our ranch, Lost Valley also boasts a two-acre pond, with rods and reels available to guests at no additional charge. Rainbow and brown trout are both tasty catches, and our chefs are more than happy to prepare your fish and serve it up at meal time.
